With an all-out effort, Bacardi Black Bats's Horaţiu Petran threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kerem Aktürkoglu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Gyál United booed when Bacardi Black Bats was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelito Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gyál United's Horaţiu Petran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Gyál United from getting a goal against them. After 25 minutes of play, Gyál United's Zoltán Varga made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. A well-hit corner resulted in Abílio Severiano heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 46 minutes into the match, Gyál United's goalkeeper Horaţiu Petran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Moisés Queiroga. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Moisés Queiroga to strike the kick off in the second half. If Moisés Queiroga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Horaţiu Petran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moisés Queiroga in the 52nd minute of the match. Bacardi Black Bats's supporters rose to their feet, but Moisés Queiroga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horaţiu Petran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bacardi Black Bats made a substitution. Benedicto Afonso replaced Kerem Aktürkoglu. Horaţiu Petran stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horaţiu Bacalbașa's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Konstantinos Kroustallis in the 84th minute of play forced Bacardi Black Bats's goalkeeper Artur Brudzisz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th match minute, Bacardi Black Bats was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelito Silva to maneuver through the defense. Gyál United's Deivid Trigo got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Artur Brudzisz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erwin Bienvenu in the 90th minute of play. Erwin Bienvenu struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Artur Brudzisz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gyál United. In the 95th minute, Horaţiu Bacalbașa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bacardi Black Bats fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Bacardi Black Bats were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Gyál United for a fine match.
