The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gabriel Martini scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Milan Krása, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 10 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's Garth Brough sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Milan Krása narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Milan Krása didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Garth Brough went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Garth Brough might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Milan Krása. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Garth Brough ran back to his position shaking his head. Milan Krása made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garth Brough in the 23rd minute of play. FC Kopeto's Milan Krása played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garth Brough in the 25th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Garth Brough cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Milan Krása was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Milan Krása made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garth Brough in the 37th minute of play. In the 40th minute Ellis Hoskin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Milan Krása saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Australian Youth Academy were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after FC Kopeto's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Codruț Văleanu took the corner. After 42 played minutes Australian Youth Academy got a freekick which was hit by Garth Brough. The crowd rose to their feet as Gavin Sawbridge kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tom Riddle. That made the score 1-3 in the 47 minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

In the 54th minute, Australian Youth Academy's Garth Brough ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Milan Krása. Milan Krása yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. In the 60th minute of the game David Holiš made a throw-in which Mason Greenwood played forward. If Garth Brough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. FC Kopeto's Milan Krása proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Kopeto from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavin Sawbridge in the 66th minute of play forced Australian Youth Academy's goalkeeper Tom Riddle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tom Riddle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mason Greenwood, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. A sloppy throw-in by David Holiš in the 72nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Australian Youth Academy's Rufus Roach. Randolph Glovers short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Milan Krása to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Randolph Glover received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Milan Krása came out and tried to block the shot, but Randolph Glover slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 84th minute. FC Kopeto's Milan Krása proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save FC Kopeto from getting a goal against them. In the 89th minute of the match Australian Youth Academy got a corner. FC Kopeto's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Codruț Văleanu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tom Riddle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gavin Sawbridge in the 92nd minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Gavin Sawbridge came free, but Tom Riddle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute, Australian Youth Academy's Randolph Glover dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-6. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see FC Kopeto lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
