Angelo Melani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lei Feng Yan, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Ricardinho de Senna notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Girondins4Ever's Angelo Melani. Angelo Melani was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dorian Colle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esen Sanal having to interfere. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Wellington Fonseca was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Angelo Melani in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Benedykt Pankiewicz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Angelo Melani having to make a save. Benedykt Pankiewicz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Angelo Melani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lei Feng Yan in the 29th minute of play. Angelo Melani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lei Feng Yan, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Duarte Hoffmann hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Qiao Lei Quan didn't have the luck on his side when he, from a short distance, got a opportunity for a shot on goal in the 35th minute. The shot missed the goal on the right side and Qiao Lei Quan ran dejectedly back to his position. Qiao Lei Quan might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Esen Sanal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Qiao Lei Quan ran back to his position shaking his head. Igor Thibault charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Igor Thibault the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd match minute, Girondins4Ever was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Thibault to maneuver through the defense. After the first half S.E.R. Caxias do Sul were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Esen Sanal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorian Colle in the 57th minute of the match. After 59 played minutes Girondins4Ever got a freekick which was hit by Luizinho Diniz. Angelo Melani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mario Pochekanski's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mario Pochekanski got free with Angelo Melani in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 63 minutes into the match, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goal looked a bit too open when Qiao Lei Quan came free, but Esen Sanal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 68 minutes, Jean-Pascal Rouge managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Girondins4Ever's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jean-Pascal Rouge was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 70 minutes into the game, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Mario Pochekanski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angelo Melani made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Girondins4Ever's Hakim Gaulin managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gernando Falcão in the 72 minute of the game. In the 73rd minute, Qiao Lei Quan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Girondins4Ever fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Angelo Melani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Pochekanski in the 77th minute of the match. Girondins4Ever's Angelo Melani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Pochekanski in the 80th minute of play. Krisztián Véber could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Angelo Melani made a huge save. Mario Pochekanski came free with the goalkeeper in the 91st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Angelo Melani could save by the left post. With a little luck, Girondins4Ever's Angelo Melani got control of the ball when Mario Pochekanski tried to sneak it across the goal line. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Esen Sanal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Pascal Rouge in the 95th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lei Feng Yan in the 98th minute of play forced Girondins4Ever's goalkeeper Angelo Melani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul played a much better game than Girondins4Ever and deserved their victory. The Girondins4Ever players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
