In the 59th minute, Mazaredo AFC's Herman Bergström ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Radamel Hendrickx. Radamel Hendrickx yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Victorino Kelemen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Unai Sócrates in the 65th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Walter Vestberg got free with Radamel Hendrickx in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A very good chance for a goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Fauna Utd fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mazaredo AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
