Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st minute of the match Terremoto FC got a corner. Old BaoBaB Accademy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hilario Duarte ran over to the corner to take the kick. Terremoto FC's Hilario Duarte was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fabiano Violento in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 23 minutes into the match, Shi Ming had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabiano Violento. Old BaoBaB Accademy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Shi Ming was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 34th minute, Pablo Herrera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabiano Violento was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Shi Ming capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Shi Ming really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shi Ming got free with Fabiano Violento in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fabiano Violento made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Shi Ming sent off a good shot on target. 46 minutes into the match, Ciro Panino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kenneth Libesoons. Terremoto FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ciro Panino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emiliano Giusto to make the kick off. Kenneth Libesoons took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiliano Giusto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 56 minutes into the match, Old BaoBaB Accademy's goal looked a bit too open when Shi Ming came free, but Fabiano Violento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Kenneth Libesoons managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Old BaoBaB Accademy's Emiliano Giusto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anfilogino Furia in the 63rd minute of play forced Terremoto FC's goalkeeper Kenneth Libesoons to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Old BaoBaB Accademy made a substitution. Prince Queen replaced Robert Pirès. Terremoto FC's Bernard Mietus was substituted for Shi Ming. With a little luck, Terremoto FC's Kenneth Libesoons got control of the ball when Emilio Buffone tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Prince Queen got free with Kenneth Libesoons in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernard Mietus in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabiano Violento prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gaston Laurentzi charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gaston Laurentzi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
