After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Leopoldo Manta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Heinz-Gerd Bonin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute Matti Erkiner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermegildo Pasqual saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's corner Alvar Nordgren fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ermegildo Pasqual quite easily take care of the ball. In the 85th match minute, 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adriano Görlitz to maneuver through the defense. 97 minutes into the match, 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Manta came free, but Heinz-Gerd Bonin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Despite being the better team, Orihuela Club de Fútbol failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
