Spectators: 7680 (Terracing: 5761, Seating: 1766, VIP seats: 153) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Herminio Florinio kicked off to start the match. Club Deportivo Águila's Gustavo Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gargollo in the 3rd minute of play. In the 7th minute, Herminio Florinio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Deportivo Águila fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Gustavo Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gargollo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Volker Ippig made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Herminio Florinio sent off a good shot on target. After 18 played minutes Obrero Barquisimeto got a freekick which was hit by Bras Pizarro. The supporters of Obrero Barquisimeto booed when Club Deportivo Águila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. William Corpeño didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Obrero Barquisimeto getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Erwin-Alexander De La Rosa-Choca hit a great ball. Manuel Reyes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Volker Ippig came out and tried to block the shot, but Manuel Reyes slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 24th minute. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Deportivo Águila's goalkeeper Gustavo Guimarães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Xurde Buiza made a precise shot to the right of Gustavo Guimarães. Club Deportivo Águila's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Gustavo Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gargollo in the 31st minute of play. Herminio Florinio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Volker Ippig made a huge save. Cordario Viñales got a throw-in 38 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Joel Gargollo. Gustavo Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feo Cadorniga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gargollo made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dário Diniz in the 52nd minute of play forced Obrero Barquisimeto's goalkeeper Volker Ippig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Obrero Barquisimeto's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alberto Alvarenga was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Deportivo Águila's players had a chance to rest. Dong Hui Yue made a great header on Club Deportivo Águila's corner, it was just that Obrero Barquisimeto's Volker Ippig managed to reach the ball for a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dário Diniz in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Volker Ippig prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Volker Ippig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dário Diniz in the 70th minute of play. Obrero Barquisimeto made a substitution. Veto Nieves replaced Xurde Buiza. Obrero Barquisimeto's Roberto Pato was substituted for Bras Pizarro. Dário Diniz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Volker Ippig read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Club Deportivo Águila's corner Alberto Alvarenga fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Volker Ippig quite easily take care of the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Dong Hui Yue in the 80th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Obrero Barquisimeto's Erwin-Alexander De La Rosa-Choca. In the 86th minute Manuel Reyes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Volker Ippig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dário Diniz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The corner ended in Alberto Alvarenga almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Obrero Barquisimeto's Volker Ippig did a great save.
