Erwin Huygens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardino Gaizkine in the 18th minute of play. After some careless play in the Velez Sarsfield defense, Bernardino Gaizkine kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erwin Huygens. The Velez Sarsfield fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erwin Huygens should have stopped the shot. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Janar Rakke sped through Velez Sarsfield's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Erwin Huygens. A collision led to MZ you didnt develop! getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Eevald Asmer hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the match, MZ you didnt develop!'s Janar Rakke sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erwin Huygens narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gaston Ávila during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The corner led MZ you didnt develop!'s Jack Mager to fire away a dangerous shot which Erwin Huygens despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Augusto Cordario made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Augusto Cordario notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of MZ you didnt develop!'s Vello Landi. Vello Landi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Augusto Cordario who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Vello Landi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 88th minute, Rudolf Arak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Velez Sarsfield's Raul Argoitz was substituted for Marcos Pacifico.
