The audience was convinced that Alvaro Sforza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tobias Pepillo was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. When Javier Della Francesca came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the AC Roma fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Javier Della Francesca couldn't finish the play. Alvaro Sforza might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tobias Pepillo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alvaro Sforza ran back to his position shaking his head. 45 minutes into the game, Mauro Paulista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Compostela FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AC Roma the free kick. In the 46th match minute, Compostela FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauro Paulista to maneuver through the defense. Inácio Mattos hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alvaro Sforza to make the kick off. Tobias Pepillo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. 74 minutes into the game, Alvaro Sforza recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tobias Pepillo. Alvaro Sforza showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. In the 80th minute, AC Roma's Alvaro Sforza dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. Compostela FSCMZ's Robert Kornatowski was substituted for Boruc Poling. After 86 minutes of play, AC Roma's Alvaro Sforza made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tobias Pepillo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alvaro Sforza struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Tobias Pepillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC Roma. A collision led to AC Roma getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Alvaro Sforza hit a great ball. 96 minutes into the match, Alvaro Sforza dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tobias Pepillo, 0-8. AC Roma's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
