Deilmison van Basten started the match with the kick off. André Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feng Ting Chong in the 4th minute of play. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Minho FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Cláudio Santiago hit a great ball. Magno Aparecido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodriguinho Sousa having to interfere. The throw-in from Gu Zhan Cheng in the 15th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Minho FC's Alberto Paez. 17 minutes into the match, Magno Aparecido had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rodriguinho Sousa. ATHLETICO PRaiano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Magno Aparecido was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 19th minute, Deilmison van Basten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the match, Deilmison van Basten had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of André Figueiredo. Minho FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Deilmison van Basten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 27th minute, Deilmison van Basten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. André Figueiredo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Rodriguinho Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magno Aparecido in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd minute of the match Minho FC got a corner. ATHLETICO PRaiano's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Yu Ran Zhen ran over to the corner to take the kick. Minho FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Yu Ran Zhen in the 36th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Magno Aparecido had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rodriguinho Sousa. ATHLETICO PRaiano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Magno Aparecido was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Gu Zhan Cheng quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alberto Paez, made in the 44th minute of the game. André Figueiredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deilmison van Basten, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Magno Aparecido was the one to do the kick off. Magno Aparecido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Rodriguinho Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Magno Aparecido's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodriguinho Sousa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind ATHLETICO PRaiano's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Sousa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner led Minho FC's Yu Ran Zhen to fire away a dangerous shot which Rodriguinho Sousa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of ATHLETICO PRaiano booed when Minho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Paez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 61 minutes, Deilmison van Basten made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. Minho FC's André Figueiredo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The nice shot from Januário Severiano in the 81stth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Rodriguinho Sousa had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Deilmison van Basten in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck André Figueiredo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. André Figueiredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deilmison van Basten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute ATHLETICO PRaiano were awarded a corner. Feng Ting Chong went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on ATHLETICO PRaiano's corner Robin van Persie fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and André Figueiredo quite easily take care of the ball. After some careless play in the ATHLETICO PRaiano defense, Januário Severiano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodriguinho Sousa. The ATHLETICO PRaiano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodriguinho Sousa should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Unax Mudarra got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After 94 played minutes ATHLETICO PRaiano got a freekick which was hit by Heitor Maldini. ATHLETICO PRaiano's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
