The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Atak Üke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anderson Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Várzea F.C.'s goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Quintal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonides Xacintu. Atak Üke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anderson Paiva in the 20th minute of play. Delmiro Licerio struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Atak Üke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Várzea F.C.. Atak Üke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmiro Licerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute.
