Antônio Carlos Almeida could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Ioritz Hernainz made a huge save. Sansone Poso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacek Ptaszek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. 12 minutes in the game, Denizhan Ünüvar fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ioritz Hernainz having to interfere. Sansone Poso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th minute of the match, Denizhan Ünüvar tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ioritz Hernainz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ioritz Hernainz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denizhan Ünüvar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Gomesano Gatica in the 22nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by En avant de guingamp's Antônio Carlos Almeida. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sansone Poso in the 24th minute of play forced En avant de guingamp's goalkeeper Jacek Ptaszek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antônio Carlos Almeida could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Ioritz Hernainz made a huge save. Jacek Ptaszek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquiles Telmo in the 28th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in America De Cali's zone, Antônio Carlos Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ioritz Hernainz came out of the goal and Antônio Carlos Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. En avant de guingamp's Jacek Ptaszek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sansone Poso in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Ni Jun Liang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ni Jun Liang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ioritz Hernainz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half America De Cali were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sansone Poso in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacek Ptaszek saved En avant de guingamp from getting behind. Antônio Carlos Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. America De Cali's Ronaldo Messi was substituted for Sansone Poso. In the 76th minute, America De Cali's Okanalp Doğu seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Okanalp Doğu the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of America De Cali protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Okanalp Doğu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 76 minutes into the game, one of America De Cali:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Antônio Carlos Almeida shot the penalty kick right outside the post. America De Cali's Ioritz Hernainz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denizhan Ünüvar in the 79th minute of play. Ioritz Hernainz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denizhan Ünüvar, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. The America De Cali players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
