But to his dismay, Lopez Arrillaga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Kornél Ács charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kornél Ács the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Százhalombattai LK getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Kornél Ács hit a great ball. Leonard Popowicz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tanek Nakoneczny having to make a save. The audience held their breath when Milán Seres in the 44th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Radomir Zurawski's left hand side. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The referee ignored RW AHLEN-KNURÓW's protests and gave Krzysztof Wierzcholek a yellow card for diving instead.
