Maximo Dei ran over to the corner to take the kick. 17 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de América's goalkeeper Marcos Ranolfo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leopoldo Jacinto. If Leopoldo Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vitomir Starokin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kraig Fred in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Kraig Fred shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitomir Starokin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vitomir Starokin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kraig Fred, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kraig Fred in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vitomir Starokin saved CSKA-LULIN from getting behind. With a little luck, Estudiantes de América's Marcos Ranolfo got control of the ball when Leopoldo Jacinto tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as CSKA-LULIN's Severo Danel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcos Ranolfo. That made the score 2-0 after 30 minutes of play. With his leg Marcos Ranolfo managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when CSKA-LULIN's Severo Danel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With an all-out effort, CSKA-LULIN's Marcos Ranolfo threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Severo Danel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 43rd minute Severo Danel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Ranolfo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
