Silvano Portillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jörgen Frohm hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 15 minutes in the game Jörgen Frohm did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Tony Pacheco. The supporters of ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ booed when New England Minas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jörgen Frohm didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glen Conklin in the 29th minute of play forced ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s goalkeeper Silvano Portillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Gică Bogdan hit a great ball. If Dobromir Prokowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

52 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Santirso came free, but Jeremy Nicholas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Santirso in the 55th minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Jeremy Nicholas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tony Pacheco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dobromir Prokowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Jeremy Nicholas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gică Bogdan in the 71st minute of the match. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind New England Minas's goalkeeper Jeremy Nicholas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Silvano Portillo got control of the ball when Oscar Nordmark tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jeremy Nicholas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saturnino Romo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. New England Minas's attentive Ye Gang Cheng managed to snatch the ball when Prospero Jobo made a throw-in in the 89th minute of the game. In the 90thth minute of the game Saturnino Romo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rogelio Gaxan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Saturnino Romo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jeremy Nicholas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Saturnino Romo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jeremy Nicholas. New England Minas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Saturnino Romo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1.
