The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 minutes, Honorato Cordaro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Spams and the Sportivo Luan Toro players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Sportivo Luan Toro booed when Spams was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorato Cordaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustavo Campagnuolo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorato Cordaro in the 11th minute of the match. If Elias James had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 17 minutes into the match, Sportivo Luan Toro's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Venceslao came free, but Gustavo Campagnuolo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sportivo Luan Toro's Eliseo Perez got a free kick in the 18th minute. Gustavo Campagnuolo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorato Cordaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. If Honorato Cordaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nereo Crescencio charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nereo Crescencio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Spams getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Nereo Crescencio hit a great ball. In the 24th minute, Norberto-Doroteo Méndez made a precise shot to the right of Stipe Pletikosa. Spams's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Norberto-Doroteo Méndez scored 1-2 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stipe Pletikosa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 32nd minute, Norberto-Doroteo Méndez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stipe Pletikosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidio Qwinton in the 79th minute of play forced Sportivo Luan Toro's goalkeeper Gustavo Campagnuolo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jaime Peruanton kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match.
