Alessandro Micucci blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcos Basso having to make a save. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Marcos Basso successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Olov Wahlnäs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gencer Hisarcık, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martin Mutumba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcos Basso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hjalmar Lindkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Vykans Vikingar fans cheered their team off the field, for while The Shadows had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
