Omar Duardo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 9 minutes into the game, Enginalp Kayaalp cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Omar Duardo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Justo Berart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Omar Duardo having to interfere. After 21 played minutes CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA got a freekick which was hit by Maurinho Arruda. CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Omar Duardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Mutu in the 22nd minute of play. Omar Duardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Mutu, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Braga Junior FC's attentive Valério Matorin managed to snatch the ball when Erik Thorvaldsson made a throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game. A collision led to CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Zeledon Soter hit a great ball. Braga Junior FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cido Araújo in the 37th minute. Braga Junior FC's Cido Araújo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Omar Duardo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hulk Fenomeno in the 38th minute of play forced Braga Junior FC's goalkeeper Brickeen Wall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Adrian Mutu notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Omar Duardo. Omar Duardo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Adrian Mutu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Braga Junior FC booed when CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeledon Soter didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Mutu came free, but Omar Duardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adrian Mutu to strike the kick off in the second half. Hulk Fenomeno hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. 52 minutes into the game, one of CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. With his leg Omar Duardo managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Braga Junior FC's Enginalp Kayaalp fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goalkeeper Omar Duardo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Edmundo Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 60 minutes into the match, Braga Junior FC's Cido Araújo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Maurinho Arruda came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurinho Arruda couldn't finish the play. 71 minutes into the match, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goalkeeper Omar Duardo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enginalp Kayaalp. Omar Duardo made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Enginalp Kayaalp sent off a good shot on target. Justo Berart hit a great ball. Although CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA had been in control for most of the match, Braga Junior FC still came away with the win.
