Guilherme Souza received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gláuber Brodel came out and tried to block the shot, but Guilherme Souza slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. Imbituba - FSCMZ's Ivo Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldinho Meira in the 7th minute of play. Gláuber Brodel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesinha Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Guilherme Souza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gláuber Brodel having to make a save. Gláuber Brodel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guilherme Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guilherme Souza might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gláuber Brodel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guilherme Souza ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredinho Vieira in the 28th minute of play forced Imbituba - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Ivo Ramalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gláuber Brodel made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Cesinha Vieira sent off a good shot on target. When Guilherme Souza came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Imbituba - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guilherme Souza couldn't finish the play. Jorge Sá got a throw-in 44 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Christiano Trevisan. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Guilherme Souza might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gláuber Brodel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guilherme Souza ran back to his position shaking his head. Gláuber Brodel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guilherme Souza in the 78th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Morro Grande E.C's Ronaldinho Meira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Morro Grande E.C's Gláuber Brodel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guilherme Souza in the 85th minute of play. William Breckenfeld kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. A collision led to Imbituba - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Jailson Alves hit a great ball. 93 minutes into the game, Morro Grande E.C's Alfredinho Vieira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ivo Ramalho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Morro Grande E.C had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
