With his leg Gaidis Vaicahovskis managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Raimundo Tupper fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Podador Raheiro in the 5th minute of play forced Black horses's goalkeeper Gaidis Vaicahovskis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaidis Vaicahovskis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raimundo Tupper in the 6th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Podador Raheiro in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaidis Vaicahovskis saved Black horses from getting behind. Ilkka Markkula took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Sējējs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Black horses's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alvaro Muno was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Deportes Santa Cruz's players had a chance to rest. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Alvaro Muno was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gaidis Vaicahovskis in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gaidis Vaicahovskis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Tupper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute Sarmis Logs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilkka Markkula saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raimundo Tupper hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute, Ilmārs Vismanis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raimundo Tupper got free with Gaidis Vaicahovskis in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Raimundo Tupper came free with the goalkeeper in the 32nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gaidis Vaicahovskis could save by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Black horses's zone, Raimundo Tupper stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaidis Vaicahovskis came out of the goal and Raimundo Tupper tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gaidis Vaicahovskis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacinto Gebhard in the 36th minute. Gaidis Vaicahovskis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Podador Raheiro in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute Club Deportes Santa Cruz were awarded a corner. Alvaro Muno went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andris Freimentāls in the 41st minute of play forced Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goalkeeper Ilkka Markkula to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaidis Vaicahovskis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Podador Raheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raimundo Tupper stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gaidis Vaicahovskis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Tupper in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 54th minute Club Deportes Santa Cruz were awarded a corner. Alvaro Muno went to the cornerflag to take it. A well done corner resulted in Silvio Navia drilling the ball in to score 2-0 behind Black horses's goalkeeper. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yan Zhi Chuan in the 57th minute of play forced Black horses's goalkeeper Gaidis Vaicahovskis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yan Zhi Chuan took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gaidis Vaicahovskis. Gaidis Vaicahovskis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Gaidis Vaicahovskis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yan Zhi Chuan went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Black horses were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after Club Deportes Santa Cruz's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jānis Blaumanis took the corner. Jānis Blaumanis made a great header on Black horses's corner, it was just that Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Ilkka Markkula managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 76th minute Sarmis Logs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilkka Markkula saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sarmis Logs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Ilkka Markkula tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yan Zhi Chuan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gaidis Vaicahovskis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yan Zhi Chuan in the 80th minute of the match. Silvio Navia hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Ilkka Markkula made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sarmis Logs in the 82nd minute of play. The throw-in from Sandis Kodacs in the 87th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Hüseyin Rahmi Toper. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvio Navia in the 88th minute of play forced Black horses's goalkeeper Gaidis Vaicahovskis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Black horses's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
