Saturnin Darroja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enio Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Saturnin Darroja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enio Marinho in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Internacional's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Giménez came free, but Bruno Lanckneus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Downchester City's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Xabat Figueroa in the 12th minute. After taking down the ball on Downchester City's corner Xabat Figueroa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bruno Lanckneus quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by 孙明锋 in the 15th minute of play forced Downchester City's goalkeeper Saturnin Darroja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute of the game Osmar Branco made a throw-in which Nando de Alcântara played forward. Thanks to some nice moves Nando de Alcântara could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which Saturnin Darroja however easily saved by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Xabat Figueroa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Downchester City's supporters rose to their feet, but Xabat Figueroa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Lanckneus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bruno Lanckneus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santiago Giménez in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Xabat Figueroa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bruno Lanckneus was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 27 minutes into the game, Santiago Giménez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Bruno Lanckneus was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 30th match minute, Downchester City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolfo Sánchez to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Internacional getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Nando de Alcântara hit a great ball. Saturnin Darroja made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Enio Marinho sent off a good shot on target. Saturnin Darroja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michel Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Internacional's goalkeeper Bruno Lanckneus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Michel Faria was the one to do the kick off. Sven Christoffersson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Bruno Lanckneus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xabat Figueroa in the 53rd minute of play forced Internacional's goalkeeper Bruno Lanckneus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute, Santiago Giménez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osmar Branco in the 57th minute of play forced Downchester City's goalkeeper Saturnin Darroja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute, Downchester City's Santiago Giménez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bruno Lanckneus. Bruno Lanckneus yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. In the 65th minute, Santiago Giménez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Downchester City made a substitution. Bailey Tangø replaced Santiago Giménez. Bruno Lanckneus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bailey Tangø, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A sloppy throw-in by Nando de Alcântara in the 69th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Downchester City's Romo Hidalgo. Romo Hidalgo hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Downchester City's Bailey Tangø got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Downchester City made a substitution. Heriberto Merino replaced Xabat Figueroa. A collision led to Downchester City getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Bailey Tangø hit a great ball. Ronaldinho Leal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Saturnin Darroja. Downchester City's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Internacional's Bruno Lanckneus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bailey Tangø in the 78th minute of play. Bruno Lanckneus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Heriberto Merino's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. 82 minutes into the game, Heriberto Merino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Bruno Lanckneus was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bruno Lanckneus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pašo Droga in the 85th minute. Bruno Lanckneus came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Downchester City's Bailey Tangø. But to his dismay, Bailey Tangø quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Saturnin Darroja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enio Marinho in the 89th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Heriberto Merino got free with Bruno Lanckneus in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Downchester City played a much better game than Internacional and deserved their victory. The Internacional players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
