The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Academica Pulheim got a freekick which was hit by Malte Rastätter. Bertil Kilström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Seppmann in the 8th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Academica Pulheim defense, Björn Gregersson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tadeusz Marosz. The Academica Pulheim fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tadeusz Marosz should have stopped the shot. Tadeusz Marosz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viktor Nordstedt in the 20th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Viktor Nordstedt managed to get in a good position for a shot. LA VIOLA's supporters rose to their feet, but Viktor Nordstedt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tadeusz Marosz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bertil Kilström had great luck who in the 25thth minute grab hold of the ball when Maxime Vrints from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Maxime Vrints put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Bertil Kilström. In the 30th play minute Amadeus Segebrecht came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Bertil Kilström. 2-1. In the 40th match minute, LA VIOLA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robin Grelsson to maneuver through the defense. Amadeus Segebrecht took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bertil Kilström. LA VIOLA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Maxime Vrints received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Bertil Kilström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 3-1 became the score in the 46th minute when Maxime Vrints elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carl Kröger to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 59thth minute of the game Carl Kröger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LA VIOLA's Bertil Kilström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bertil Kilström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maxime Vrints, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Academica Pulheim made a substitution. Mathias Veigel replaced Ralph Wickede. Academica Pulheim's Carl Derm was substituted for Malte Rastätter. LA VIOLA made a substitution. Mino Raiola replaced Stig-Åke Broberg. After 63 played minutes LA VIOLA got a freekick which was hit by Ture Vibjörnsson. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luka Krumrei in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bertil Kilström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luka Krumrei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertil Kilström having to interfere. Hardi Tornau kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. If Maxime Vrints had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 77 minutes, Nils Witzky mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Academica Pulheim and the LA VIOLA players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Academica Pulheim's Nils Witzky got a free kick in the 77th minute. Academica Pulheim's Tadeusz Marosz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Academica Pulheim from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carl Kröger in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bertil Kilström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carl Kröger in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bertil Kilström saved LA VIOLA from getting behind. 88 minutes into the match, LA VIOLA's goal looked a bit too open when Romeo Giermann came free, but Bertil Kilström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bertil Kilström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carl Kröger in the 94th minute of play. When Academica Pulheim's Carl Kröger in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye LA VIOLA's goalie prevented a goal. In the 97th minute, Ragnar Gut ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bertil Kilström was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the LA VIOLA players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Academica Pulheim.
