In the 25th minute, Manchester United FC's Taito Tuulola dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cosimo Staniscia in the 29th minute of play forced Manchester United FC's goalkeeper Ukko Niemi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Godo Gøl was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Taito Tuulola capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Taito Tuulola really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Taito Tuulola got free with Godo Gøl in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Taito Tuulola made a kick off. Godo Gøl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Cantona in the 55th minute of play. FC Lugano made a substitution. Favian Muff replaced Teddy Racine. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Cantona in the 63rd minute of play forced FC Lugano's goalkeeper Godo Gøl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Taito Tuulola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Manchester United FC fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Manchester United FC's Erik Cantona looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal.
