Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Sporting Burgas's Davor Šuker started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Zagłębie Dąbrowskie booed when Sporting Burgas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miroslaw Piglowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 4th minute, Laureano Guipuzkoa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Marian Chilavert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davor Šuker in the 7th minute of play. Marian Chilavert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davor Šuker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gökçek Kolçak got free with Álvaro Perpiñán in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 14 minutes into the match, Sporting Burgas's goalkeeper Álvaro Perpiñán had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ömür Seyfeddin. Álvaro Perpiñán made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gökçek Kolçak in the 19th minute of play. Marian Chilavert came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Burgas's Davor Šuker. But to his dismay, Davor Šuker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 24th match minute, Zagłębie Dąbrowskie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Otto Alberg to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the match, Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's goal looked a bit too open when Vintilă Ghițulescu came free, but Marian Chilavert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Gökçek Kolçak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Álvaro Perpiñán. Sporting Burgas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gökçek Kolçak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Marian Chilavert came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Burgas's Davor Šuker. But to his dismay, Davor Šuker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After having played for 38 minutes, Gökçek Kolçak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gökçek Kolçak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Sporting Burgas's Miroslaw Piglowski got a free kick in the 40th minute. Álvaro Perpiñán acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 40th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Laureano Guipuzkoa. Álvaro Perpiñán showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gökçek Kolçak, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 48th minute, Laureano Guipuzkoa sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sporting Burgas's Álvaro Perpiñán didn't even have to move.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gökçek Kolçak was the one to do the kick off. Marian Chilavert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vintilă Ghițulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Otto Alberg during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Zagłębie Dąbrowskie! Davor Šuker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marian Chilavert having to interfere. Marian Chilavert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vintilă Ghițulescu in the 59th minute of play. Álvaro Perpiñán made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gökçek Kolçak in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st minute Gökçek Kolçak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Álvaro Perpiñán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Laureano Guipuzkoa in the 62nd minute. It was a well-played corner which Otto Alberg managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 64 minutes into the match, Sporting Burgas's goal looked a bit too open when Karol Biskupiak came free, but Álvaro Perpiñán reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Vintilă Ghițulescu fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Burgas's protests and gave Vintilă Ghițulescu a yellow card for diving instead. Álvaro Perpiñán showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ömür Seyfeddin in the 79th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the game, Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Ömür Seyfeddin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Álvaro Perpiñán made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Karol Biskupiak charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karol Biskupiak the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Karol Biskupiak hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gökçek Kolçak in the 85th minute of play forced Sporting Burgas's goalkeeper Álvaro Perpiñán to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Sporting Burgas's goal looked a bit too open when Karol Biskupiak came free, but Álvaro Perpiñán reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Sporting Burgas's goal looked a bit too open when Ömür Seyfeddin came free, but Álvaro Perpiñán reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute Zagłębie Dąbrowskie were awarded a corner. Laureano Guipuzkoa went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Ömür Seyfeddin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sporting Burgas's Álvaro Perpiñán did a great save. The Zagłębie Dąbrowskie fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Ömür Seyfeddin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 91st minute, one of Sporting Burgas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sporting Burgas. In the 93rd minute there was a penalty for Zagłębie Dąbrowskie. Laureano Guipuzkoa stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Álvaro Perpiñán. 4-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karol Biskupiak in the 96th minute of play forced Sporting Burgas's goalkeeper Álvaro Perpiñán to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
