The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Norberto Villegas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bernardo Tarulli. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. Bernardo Tarulli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Norberto Villegas in the 15th minute. The supporters of Cavaliers FC booed when Club Atlethico Talleres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Artal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodrigo Quiroga made in the 27th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Iwan Zdrojowy immediately put the ball in play. Anier Villegas's late challenge caught a Club Atlethico Talleres's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anier Villegas helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Club Atlethico Talleres booed when Cavaliers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anier Villegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Norberto Villegas took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Bernardo Tarulli to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Club Atlethico Talleres getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Mahdi Dajaj hit a great ball. In the 47th minute, Serafin Charro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Norberto Villegas made a kick off. After some careless play in the Cavaliers FC defense, Iwan Zdrojowy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reynaldo Bertin. The Cavaliers FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reynaldo Bertin should have stopped the shot. Reynaldo Bertin made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Ramiro Quinten sent off a good shot on target. Ramiro Quinten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Reynaldo Bertin made a huge save. 73 minutes into the match, Norberto Villegas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernardo Tarulli. Club Atlethico Talleres's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Norberto Villegas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. Cavaliers FC's Florentino Dalmu was substituted for Serafin Charro. Florentino Dalmu might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernardo Tarulli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Florentino Dalmu ran back to his position shaking his head. Club Atlethico Talleres's Robustiano Estebe was substituted for Carlos Fernando Diniz. In the 81st minute of the match Club Atlethico Talleres got a corner. Cavaliers FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ramiro Quinten ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Ramiro Quinten got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Reynaldo Bertin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Reynaldo Bertin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramiro Quinten in the 83rd minute of play. Celestino Kepa's late challenge caught a Cavaliers FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celestino Kepa helped the player get up and apologised. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
