The crowd rose to their feet as Gondor FC™'s Bertil Löfgren slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Frank Pearce. That made the score 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. Richie Byfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Đuro Brezović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Gondor FC™ got a freekick which was hit by Simon Dahlkvist. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 53 played minutes, Gondor FC™'s Baltazar Hercegovac shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Frank Pearce came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gondor FC™ reached it. Safet Nadarević charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Safet Nadarević the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Safet Nadarević hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After 57 played minutes Gondor FC™ got a freekick which was hit by Safet Nadarević. Baltazar Hercegovac fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Pearce having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gazanfer Canıtez in the 61st minute of play forced Gondor FC™'s goalkeeper Đuro Brezović to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
