In the 4th minute, Ethan Smart ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ştefan Vârlan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Ştefan Vârlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sam Bates, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Ştefan Vârlan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sam Bates went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ethan Smart got free with Ştefan Vârlan in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Memphis Grizzlies getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Miles Rocastle hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Memphis Grizzlies's zone, Valer Șişman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pat Zamora came out of the goal and Valer Șişman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute, Rob Gillespie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the game, Sam Bates recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ştefan Vârlan. Sam Bates showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Rob Gillespie's late challenge caught a Purcaresti CSS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rob Gillespie helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Purcaresti CSS booed when Memphis Grizzlies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rob Gillespie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Memphis Grizzlies's Pat Zamora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelian Stanciu in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelian Stanciu in the 33rd minute of play forced Memphis Grizzlies's goalkeeper Pat Zamora to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ferdinand Petre kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Pompiliu Maghear kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. A collision led to Memphis Grizzlies getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Miles Rocastle hit a great ball. Pat Zamora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdinand Petre, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After having played for 46 minutes, Sam Bates managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Memphis Grizzlies's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sam Bates was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The wind increased when Valer Șişman made the kick off in the second half. Sam Bates's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ştefan Vârlan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Purcaresti CSS's Ştefan Vârlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sam Bates in the 59th minute of play. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Sam Bates sped through Purcaresti CSS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ştefan Vârlan. Memphis Grizzlies's Albert Henry was substituted for Brandon Branson. A collision led to Purcaresti CSS getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Pompiliu Chiper hit a great ball. Ştefan Vârlan came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Memphis Grizzlies's Eric Choupo-Moting. But to his dismay, Eric Choupo-Moting quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Eric Choupo-Moting recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Memphis Grizzlies's Erling Haaland got a free kick in the 75th minute. 76 minutes into the game, Valeriu Amurăriței cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Pat Zamora was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eric Choupo-Moting might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ştefan Vârlan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eric Choupo-Moting ran back to his position shaking his head. Purcaresti CSS's Pompiliu Chiper got his second yellow card of the match in the 91st minute. The referee ordered Pompiliu Chiper off the ground. Pompiliu Chiper hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Eric Choupo-Moting's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ştefan Vârlan was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Memphis Grizzlies had won after a very even match.
