In the 26th minute, Fernandinho Maranhense left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Litoral EC - CIMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Chicão Bastos hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. The supporters of Litoral EC - CIMZ booed when Paikín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Inautzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute Fernandinho Maranhense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Rodas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Everardo Rodas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernandinho Maranhense, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. The Paikín supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Litoral EC - CIMZ's performance. The match ended with a win for Litoral EC - CIMZ.
