In the 3rd match minute, INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teobaldo Otsoa to maneuver through the defense. Teobaldo Otsoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Higinio Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute Julio Elivareo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pepe Santoro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robustiano Castulo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Pepe Santoro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oscar Solustiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the game, Defensores de Belén's Julio Elivareo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pepe Santoro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 34th minute, Julio Elivareo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pepe Santoro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 40th match minute, INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Trossero to maneuver through the defense. Defensores de Belén's Marco Goizeder got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Higinio Barros made the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Higinio Barros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Defensores de Belén's David Johans was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Oscar Solustiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jonas Hernando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Johans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Solustiano in the 62nd minute of play. Pepe Santoro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paolo Errapel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Marco Goizeder took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Pepe Santoro to make any attempt to save it. 80 minutes into the match, INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Julio Elivareo came free, but Pepe Santoro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB's much stronger midfield.
