Alix Geoffray stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cornelis Meys's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Alix Geoffray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornelis Meys in the 24th minute of the match. Erwin Billault could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Jo Maerschalcx made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erwin Billault got free with Jo Maerschalcx in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elias Van de Velde struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Alix Geoffray didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SK Dreigoten. Emmanuel Van Laer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lex Haesevoets during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yves Robinet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yves Robinet in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jo Maerschalcx saved SK Dreigoten from getting behind. In the 66th minute, Georges Van Der Talen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alix Geoffray came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by SK Dreigoten's Augustijn van Hacht. But to his dismay, Augustijn van Hacht quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Emmanuel Van Laer managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Dreigoten's supporters rose to their feet, but Emmanuel Van Laer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alix Geoffray breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jo Maerschalcx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toufik Loir in the 73rd minute of the match. Emmanuel Van Laer's late challenge caught a Rathmore Lime Tree's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emmanuel Van Laer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd minute, Emmanuel Van Laer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yves Robinet charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yves Robinet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Rathmore Lime Tree getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. In the 89th minute Rathmore Lime Tree were awarded a corner. Benjamin Loth went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Benjamin Loth got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jo Maerschalcx quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jo Maerschalcx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toufik Loir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the game, SK Dreigoten's Emmanuel Van Laer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alix Geoffray made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. The SK Dreigoten players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
