The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cisco Rubial was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Alberto Alda fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AFC United's protests and gave Alberto Alda a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th match minute, AFC United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Alda to maneuver through the defense. Cisco Rubial took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guo Jing Yuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, Guo Jing Yuan notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of AFC United's Cisco Rubial. Cisco Rubial was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 26th minute Guo Jing Yuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cisco Rubial saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guo Jing Yuan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Cisco Rubial tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, AFC United's goal looked a bit too open when Guo Jing Yuan came free, but Cisco Rubial reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34thth minute of the game Guo Jing Yuan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AFC United's Cisco Rubial was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in AFC United's zone, Siniša Mihajlović stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cisco Rubial came out of the goal and Siniša Mihajlović tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, AFC United's Javiero Velunza got a free kick in the 38th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Károly Sándor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edelényi Bányász's supporters rose to their feet, but Károly Sándor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cisco Rubial breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Edelényi Bányász were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guo Jing Yuan made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, AFC United's goalkeeper Cisco Rubial had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guo Jing Yuan. Márk Kuti kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. A collision led to Edelényi Bányász getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Márton Baló hit a great ball. Márk Kuti's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cisco Rubial firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 72nd minute, Guo Jing Yuan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cisco Rubial. The goal made the score 1-3. Edelényi Bányász made a substitution. Örs Markó replaced Iván Cordoba. In the 78th minute, Archibaldo Ahumada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Edelényi Bányász booed when AFC United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Archibaldo Ahumada didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pál Dankó showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilen Martioda in the 89th minute of the match. Gábor Csongrádi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 93rdth minute, Cisco Rubial skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 94 played minutes AFC United got a freekick which was hit by Gilen Martioda. Cisco Rubial showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guo Jing Yuan in the 95th minute of the match. Edelényi Bányász played a much better game than AFC United and deserved their victory. The AFC United players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
