A collision led to Decathlon Dudes getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Mathieu Van de Poel hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juan Ayuso got free with João Vítor Arósio in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antônio Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 28 minutes into the match, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Antônio Santos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that César Sousa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 30th minute ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ were awarded a corner. Xande Chaves went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Xande Chaves got away a dangerous shot. Despite this César Sousa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Mathieu Van de Poel hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Mathieu Van de Poel's late challenge caught a ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mathieu Van de Poel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd minute, Mathieu Van de Poel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. In the 67th match minute, Decathlon Dudes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilco Keldermans to maneuver through the defense. Antônio Santos took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised César Sousa. César Sousa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 80th minute Antônio Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but César Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antônio Santos got free with César Sousa in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wilco Keldermans hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
