An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Dostie in the 2nd minute of play forced A.C. Patagonia's goalkeeper Francesco Toldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 4th minute, Aldo Hell made a precise shot to the right of Scottie Correa. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Francesco Toldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Boucher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, A.C. Patagonia's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Dostie came free, but Francesco Toldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francesco Toldo made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Mario Dostie sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mario Dostie got free with Francesco Toldo in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Fiorentino in the 34th minute of play forced Qikiqtarjuaq FC's goalkeeper Scottie Correa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Junior Stover hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, A.C. Patagonia's Aldo Hell got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 45th minute Aldo Hell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Scottie Correa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, Aldo Hell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Scottie Correa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3.

If Christian Di Giulio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jewel Coats during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Jewel Coats got a free kick in the 62nd minute. With an all-out effort, A.C. Patagonia's Scottie Correa threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Giampaolo Pazzini, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 63 played minutes Qikiqtarjuaq FC got a freekick which was hit by Jewel Coats. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Christian Di Giulio managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.C. Patagonia's supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Di Giulio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Scottie Correa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Giampaolo Pazzini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th match minute, Qikiqtarjuaq FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stuart Schmitz to maneuver through the defense. Francesco Toldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Terrence Arthur in the 81st minute of the match. In the 82nd minute Mario Dostie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francesco Toldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of A.C. Patagonia booed when Qikiqtarjuaq FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olin Munster didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 94 minutes of play, A.C. Patagonia's Aldo Hell made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Scottie Correa was left in no man's land by his defense there! The A.C. Patagonia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing A.C. Patagonia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
