But to his dismay, Vítor Chaves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. With his leg Pedro Luís Menegatti managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when AC LeX Luthor's Gaudencio Sindo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Dito Zanette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thibaut Courtois having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Vítor Chaves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thibaut Courtois was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 3-3 after a close first half.

Pedro Luís Menegatti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guido Oriol in the 54th minute of the match. Pedro Luís Menegatti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Everardo Tavio, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. With a little luck, AC LeX Luthor's Thibaut Courtois got control of the ball when Vítor Chaves tried to sneak it across the goal line. Christian Eleazar kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 76th minute of the match, Dito Zanette tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Thibaut Courtois saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Chap in the 83rd minute of play forced Canarinho Atordoado's goalkeeper Pedro Luís Menegatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evaristo Favoretto's late challenge caught a AC LeX Luthor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evaristo Favoretto helped the player get up and apologised.
