Percival Prestes came out and tried to block the shot, but Orlando Washington slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 17th minute. REAL VASCO RIO's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Dursun Şenel scored to the left of an out of position Percival Prestes, making the score, 2-0. Gerry Herring charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerry Herring the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gerry Herring kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Sean Deaton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emerson Trevisan in the 27th minute of play. Nomads Football Club's Ernesto Rooney was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 29th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Natã Nogueira took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sean Deaton. Sean Deaton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. After 35 minutes, Ernesto Rooney mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nomads Football Club and the REAL VASCO RIO players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Nomads Football Club getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Ernesto Rooney hit a great ball. Ronald Dunham hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. With a little luck, REAL VASCO RIO's Percival Prestes got control of the ball when Jim Smalls tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Nomads Football Club fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Nomads Football Club's Jim Smalls looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emerson Trevisan to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dursun Şenel in the 53rd minute of play forced REAL VASCO RIO's goalkeeper Percival Prestes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Nomads Football Club getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Ernesto Rooney hit a great ball. In the 69th minute, Horácio Damião got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. REAL VASCO RIO's Percival Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Washington in the 74th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dursun Şenel in the 78th minute of play forced REAL VASCO RIO's goalkeeper Percival Prestes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jim Smalls sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute of the match, Horácio Damião tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sean Deaton saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Nomads Football Club had won after a very even match.
