In the 5th minute there was a penalty for FC ICEWIND DALE. Adrian Mutu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tomas Pando. 0-1. FC ICEWIND DALE's Bernard Wietrzychowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viviano Basurto in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wladyslaw Brytka in the 11th minute of play forced Liga de Quito's goalkeeper Tomas Pando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Pando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wladyslaw Brytka, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute, Alesandro Nesta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Adrian Mutu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomas Pando was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Liga de Quito's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Feliks Jarosiewicz ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Feliks Jarosiewicz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tomas Pando quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Tomas Pando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wladyslaw Brytka in the 44th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Liga de Quito's Urbano Pacio got a free kick in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Patryk Ranowiecki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Liga de Quito's goalkeeper Tomas Pando, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When FC ICEWIND DALE's Hieronim Cerocki in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Liga de Quito's goalie prevented a goal. Liga de Quito's Tomas Pando proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Liga de Quito from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patryk Ranowiecki in the 70th minute of play forced Liga de Quito's goalkeeper Tomas Pando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Liga de Quito's goal looked a bit too open when Antoni Sliwinski came free, but Tomas Pando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wladyslaw Brytka could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Tomas Pando made a huge save. Tomas Pando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hieronim Cerocki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Pando was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Wladyslaw Brytka showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 89 minute of play. The Liga de Quito fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC ICEWIND DALE were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
