Sport Club Mavericks's Jairo Bastos managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Kenneth Jönsson in the 5 minute of the game. 6 minutes into the match, Claudemiro Fragoso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christer Åkesson. Here Comes the Hammer's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claudemiro Fragoso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Valdir Velloso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Xande Gay made a huge save. The throw-in from Waldemar Fernandez in the 13th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Here Comes the Hammer's Bengt-Rune Jonasson. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdir Velloso in the 20th minute of play forced Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Xande Gay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the game, Claudemiro Fragoso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Christer Åkesson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Here Comes the Hammer's Christer Åkesson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deivid Fantini in the 25th minute of play. With a little luck, Sport Club Mavericks's Xande Gay got control of the ball when Valdir Velloso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonas Hansson kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Christer Åkesson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deivid Fantini in the 31st minute of the match. Sport Club Mavericks's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Arnaldo Baiano in the 33rd minute. The corner ended in Arnaldo Baiano almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Here Comes the Hammer's Christer Åkesson did a great save. Christer Åkesson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudemiro Fragoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evert Wahlnäs hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Claudemiro Fragoso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sport Club Mavericks fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Sport Club Mavericks made a substitution. Deivid Passos replaced Arnaldo Baiano. The wind increased when Zaaki Zakas made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Here Comes the Hammer's goalkeeper Christer Åkesson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 55 minutes into the match, Claudemiro Fragoso dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Christer Åkesson, 0-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Deivid Fantini got free with Christer Åkesson in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emil Paulin kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Sport Club Mavericks's Hélio Nascimento was substituted for Claudemiro Fragoso. In the 62nd minute, Emil Paulin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Waldemar Fernandez didn't quite understand what happened when in the 63 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. After a rather tough play, Sport Club Mavericks's Jairo Bastos got a free kick in the 66th minute. Alexandre Marques could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Christer Åkesson made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valdir Velloso in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Xande Gay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélio Nascimento in the 74th minute of play forced Here Comes the Hammer's goalkeeper Christer Åkesson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Here Comes the Hammer's Fred Petersson was substituted for Valdir Velloso. After a rather tough play, Here Comes the Hammer's Zaaki Zakas got a free kick in the 77th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Sport Club Mavericks's Hélio Nascimento sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christer Åkesson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 82 minutes into the match, Here Comes the Hammer's goal looked a bit too open when Hélio Nascimento came free, but Christer Åkesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute Zaaki Zakas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xande Gay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Here Comes the Hammer's Christer Åkesson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Here Comes the Hammer from getting a goal against them. Alexandre Marques scored 0-6 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christer Åkesson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Sport Club Mavericks booed when Here Comes the Hammer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenneth Jönsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexandre Marques's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 95thth minute, Christer Åkesson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.
