In the 3rdth minute of the game Umberto Dionísio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AC DeMiRHaN's Hans McCann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Castanheiro SC fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when Castanheiro SC's Umberto Dionísio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some careless play in the Castanheiro SC defense, Todd Hamilton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedrinho Guimarães. The Castanheiro SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedrinho Guimarães should have stopped the shot. Hans McCann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Umberto Dionísio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, AC DeMiRHaN's Landon Patton got a free kick in the 13th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Umberto Dionísio in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hans McCann saved AC DeMiRHaN from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Umberto Dionísio in the 17th managed to get into a good position. The supporters of AC DeMiRHaN booed when Castanheiro SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedito Mineiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Magno Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Hans McCann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hans McCann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anísio Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27thth minute of the game Umberto Dionísio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AC DeMiRHaN's Hans McCann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 27th minute, Nilson Veloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Umberto Dionísio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hans McCann was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. In the 32nd match minute, AC DeMiRHaN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ed Rose to maneuver through the defense. If Magno Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hans McCann came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Castanheiro SC's Magno Pereira. But to his dismay, Magno Pereira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilber Castaneda to strike the kick off in the second half. Célio Vianna hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Castanheiro SC made a substitution. Marcelo Eger replaced Magno Pereira. When Umberto Dionísio came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Castanheiro SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Umberto Dionísio couldn't finish the play. Castanheiro SC's Umberto Dionísio was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 64th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When Castanheiro SC's Umberto Dionísio in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Umberto Dionísio in the 82nd minute of play forced AC DeMiRHaN's goalkeeper Hans McCann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st match minute, Castanheiro SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Eger to maneuver through the defense. Hans McCann made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Umberto Dionísio sent off a good shot on target. In the 94th minute, Marcelo Eger reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hans McCann. The goal made the score 1-9. Castanheiro SC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
