The supporters of Club Atlético Escocia booed when Suprs Academia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Aragão didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Suprs Academia's Renato Leite got a free kick in the 41st minute. After some careless play in the Suprs Academia defense, Titan Nahas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gastão Camargo. The Suprs Academia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gastão Camargo should have stopped the shot. If Lucas Quinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pascoal Paredes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Titan Nahas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Escocia's supporters rose to their feet, but Titan Nahas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gastão Camargo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
