The audience thought a goal was coming when Attilio Scarpa got free with Silas Bastos in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. André Onana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Betinho de Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Estrela Solitária's goal looked a bit too open when Attilio Scarpa came free, but Silas Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Franklin Simões kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, OldHighburyInvincibles's Aldo Vieri got a free kick in the 24th minute. The supporters of Estrela Solitária booed when OldHighburyInvincibles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florian Paolucci didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cesinha Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Onana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesinha Medeiros in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute of the match Estrela Solitária got a corner. OldHighburyInvincibles's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Almir Vieira ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Almir Vieira almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but OldHighburyInvincibles's André Onana did a great save. Attilio Scarpa's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Silas Bastos firmly grabbed it by the left post. André Onana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor de Amorim in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

OldHighburyInvincibles's André Onana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betinho de Almeida in the 53rd minute of play. Igor de Amorim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but André Onana made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Estrela Solitária's Almir Vieira got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Silas Bastos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aldo Vieri, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. When Cesinha Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Estrela Solitária fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cesinha Medeiros couldn't finish the play. 73 minutes into the match, OldHighburyInvincibles's goal looked a bit too open when Betinho de Almeida came free, but André Onana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Betinho de Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. André Onana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
