Cristinel Croitoru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. UFC Mahmudie's Cristinel Croitoru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betinho de Almeida in the 9th minute of play. A collision led to Estrela Solitária getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Dino Sanches hit a great ball. Silas Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristide Reznic in the 12th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betinho de Almeida in the 13th minute of play forced UFC Mahmudie's goalkeeper Cristinel Croitoru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Igor de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristinel Croitoru having to interfere. Silas Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristide Reznic in the 19th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Franklin Simões hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ricardo Lucas hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute, UFC Mahmudie's Aristide Reznic ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Silas Bastos. Silas Bastos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 32nd minute, Corneliu Grămescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silas Bastos was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The supporters of UFC Mahmudie booed when Estrela Solitária was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor de Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 38th minute of the game. One of UFC Mahmudie:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Estrela Solitária:s goal. After a rather tough play, UFC Mahmudie's Fabian Caranică got a free kick in the 44th minute. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Corneliu Grămescu was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Betinho de Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Estrela Solitária's supporters rose to their feet, but Betinho de Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristinel Croitoru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Igor de Amorim took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Cristinel Croitoru to make any attempt to save it. Igor de Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Betinho de Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ricardo Lucas hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute, Gabriel Boșneag got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Betinho de Almeida succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-5 in the 83rd playminute. A hard shot 87 in the game by Igor de Amorim from a close distance when the talented Cristinel Croitoru managed to make a qualified save. UFC Mahmudie's players were relieved. Viorel Ştoia's late challenge caught a Estrela Solitária's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Viorel Ştoia helped the player get up and apologised. Viorel Ştoia hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Cristinel Croitoru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Betinho de Almeida's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Estrela Solitária walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
