When Zeledon Matthew fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Águilas Poblanas's protests and gave Zeledon Matthew a yellow card for diving instead. After 12 played minutes Águilas Poblanas got a freekick which was hit by Zeledon Matthew. The throw-in from Caco Magalhães in the 15th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Águilas Poblanas's Zeledon Matthew. After a rather tough play, Águilas Poblanas's Desiderio Handi got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 25th match minute, Águilas Poblanas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Mateus to maneuver through the defense. Virgilio Guerau charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Virgilio Guerau the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th minute, Virgilio Guerau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thomás Motta hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. A collision led to Águilas Poblanas getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Jacobo Diagur hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Águilas Poblanas's Leonardo Estavan got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The Águilas Poblanas players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Aesir FC FSCMZ were winning 0-1.

In the 52nd minute, Nilmar Mendes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Virgilio Guerau hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After a good free kick, Virgilio Guerau got an opportunity to smash the ball into the goal, but unfortunately, the ball went just outside the goal, which resulted in a goal kick for Aesir FC FSCMZ. Desiderio Handi got in the 56th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Paulo Macedo handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Gustavo Chabier's late challenge caught a Aesir FC FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustavo Chabier helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd match minute, Águilas Poblanas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Desiderio Handi to maneuver through the defense. If Desiderio Handi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virgilio Guerau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Paulo Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Águilas Poblanas's Desiderio Handi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo Macedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Guerau in the 82nd minute of play forced Aesir FC FSCMZ's goalkeeper Paulo Macedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Zeledon Matthew was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 83 minutes had been played. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Aesir FC FSCMZ eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
