Gwendal Créteur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfred Boymanns in the 16th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the game, Vorwärts Lübeck's Emanuel Nittel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gwendal Créteur made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dave Suc got free with Ronny Jarstein in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th minute, Fc Kertzfeld's Samir Lerat ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ronny Jarstein. Ronny Jarstein yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. In the 39th minute, Alfred Boymanns made a precise shot to the right of Gwendal Créteur. Fc Kertzfeld's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. In the 42nd match minute, Vorwärts Lübeck was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernhard Stammler to maneuver through the defense. Eckart Wojewski charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eckart Wojewski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 44 played minutes Vorwärts Lübeck got a freekick which was hit by Eckart Wojewski.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfred Boymanns made a kick off. Fc Kertzfeld's Gwendal Créteur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Fc Kertzfeld from getting a goal against them. In the 64th minute Samir Lerat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronny Jarstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfred Boymanns received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Gwendal Créteur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dave Suc in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronny Jarstein saved Vorwärts Lübeck from getting behind. Gwendal Créteur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfred Boymanns in the 87th minute of play. The supporters of Vorwärts Lübeck booed when Fc Kertzfeld was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfried Lami didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes into the game, Vorwärts Lübeck's Alfred Boymanns nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gwendal Créteur made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Cem Bauer's late challenge caught a Fc Kertzfeld's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cem Bauer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 96th match minute, Vorwärts Lübeck was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cem Bauer to maneuver through the defense.
