In the 8th minute Domingos Gaskon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristobal Santiago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Riesgo Cero's goal looked a bit too open when Ceferino Pere came free, but Marcos Charro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristobal Santiago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Gaskon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Prudencio Rolado fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Riesgo Cero's protests and gave Prudencio Rolado a yellow card for diving instead. Marcos Charro made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Moreno Beltrán sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horacio Iraunkor in the 27th minute of play forced SHIZUOKA FC's goalkeeper Cristobal Santiago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to SHIZUOKA FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Serafino Etxekopar hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafino Etxekopar in the 31st minute of play forced Riesgo Cero's goalkeeper Marcos Charro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 32 minutes into the game, when Victorio Tartalo put in a rough tackle. SHIZUOKA FCs' Marcos Charro just managed to throw himself towards the right post in the 34thth minute after Moises Edurs penalty, and stop a certain goal. In the 40th minute, Victorino Senen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SHIZUOKA FC's Cristobal Santiago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingos Gaskon in the 41st minute of play. In the 46th minute, Anselmo Nerio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ceferino Pere stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Serafino Etxekopar came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the SHIZUOKA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serafino Etxekopar couldn't finish the play. SHIZUOKA FC's Cristobal Santiago proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save SHIZUOKA FC from getting a goal against them. Riesgo Cero's Marcos Charro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceferino Pere in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Egoi in the 57th minute of play forced SHIZUOKA FC's goalkeeper Cristobal Santiago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the game, Moises Edur was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SHIZUOKA FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Riesgo Cero the free kick. Riesgo Cero's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jesús De La Cruz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SHIZUOKA FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Riesgo Cero had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
