An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Nerio in the 27th minute of play forced Palmares Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Leonardo Paz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Berni y Benja FC's goalkeeper Agustin Baldovino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joãozinho Pernambucano. 31 minutes into the game, Berni y Benja FC's Aaron Mel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The referee showed Simon Hats the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 50 played minutes Berni y Benja FC got a freekick which was hit by Simon Hats. Ismael Secco took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 51st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Agustin Baldovino. Berni y Benja FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With an all-out effort, Berni y Benja FC's Leonardo Paz threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aaron Mel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Leonardo Paz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Mel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 54 minutes into the game, Edgardo Nerio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Berni y Benja FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palmares Futebol Clube the free kick. 57 minutes into the game, Joãozinho Pernambucano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Agustin Baldovino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joãozinho Pernambucano in the 65th minute of play forced Berni y Benja FC's goalkeeper Agustin Baldovino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Joãozinho Pernambucano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Agustin Baldovino was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Berni y Benja FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
