Deus Ex Machina's Rayan Saurel was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but João Fernandez in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Deus Ex Machina's Joey Faux got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ghislain Lebecq showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo Sena in the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betão Pinheiro in the 23rd minute of play forced Deus Ex Machina's goalkeeper Ghislain Lebecq to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joey Faux fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Fernandez having to interfere. The Deus Ex Machina fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Deus Ex Machina's Joey Faux looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd rose to their feet as Joey Faux kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving João Fernandez. That made the score 2-0 in the 37 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Joey Faux took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for João Fernandez to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glauco Aparecido in the 47th minute of play forced Deus Ex Machina's goalkeeper Ghislain Lebecq to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joey Faux to make the kick off. Joey Faux fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Fernandez having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 55 minutes, Ghislain Lebecq successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Betão Pinheiro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ghislain Lebecq. That made the score 3-1 in the 56 minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Capivara FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joey Faux came free, but João Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute, Bebeto Sarmento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ghislain Lebecq was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. When Joey Faux came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Deus Ex Machina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joey Faux couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Deus Ex Machina's Malik Boulic got a free kick in the 68th minute. Ghislain Lebecq acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 69th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Edvaldo Leal. Joey Faux sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Deus Ex Machina's Ghislain Lebecq played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glauco Aparecido in the 86th minute of play. Joey Faux blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without João Fernandez having to make a save. The supporters of Capivara FC booed when Deus Ex Machina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Billy Tempier didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 92 played minutes Deus Ex Machina got a freekick which was hit by Malik Boulic.
