Dave Barillari took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 3rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ramiro Cerezo. RÖK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 5th minute Marcus Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filippo Barbato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 9 minutes of play, XMAS's Christian Zaccardi made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ramiro Cerezo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 11th minute Marcus Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filippo Barbato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filippo Barbato didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcus Castro went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Filippo Barbato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hamílton Proença, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcus Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Filippo Barbato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Christian Zaccardi came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the XMAS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Zaccardi couldn't finish the play. Cesinha Marquez hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hamílton Proença in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filippo Barbato prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Filippo Barbato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 29th match minute, RÖK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafinha Schmidt to maneuver through the defense. Ramiro Cerezo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dave Barillari in the 30th minute. Hamílton Proença scored 1-2 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Filippo Barbato, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Adelino Jacinto's late challenge caught a XMAS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adelino Jacinto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 37th match minute, RÖK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelino Jacinto to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute, Ennio De Nardis made a precise shot to the right of Ramiro Cerezo. RÖK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The audience was convinced that Marcus Castro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Filippo Barbato was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. After some careless play in the XMAS defense, Hamílton Proença kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Filippo Barbato. The XMAS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filippo Barbato should have stopped the shot. The XMAS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. RÖK were winning 2-3.

The wind increased when Christian Zaccardi made the kick off in the second half. Filippo Barbato made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Marcus Castro sent off a good shot on target. When %teams%'s Marcus Castro was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 2-5 just inside the left pole, 70 minutes into the game. Filippo Barbato was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. After 72 played minutes RÖK got a freekick which was hit by Adelino Jacinto. 75 minutes into the game, Hamílton Proença lined in a short shot 2-6 behind a frustrated Filippo Barbato. In the 84th match minute, RÖK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesinha Marquez to maneuver through the defense. Marcus Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The RÖK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing RÖK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
