Gutenberg's Inocencio Gimenez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Medeiros in the 13th minute of play. The supporters of Gutenberg booed when SE Palmeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christiano Baiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oscar Erramu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Will Muralhas. SE Palmeiras's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Inocencio Gimenez came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by SE Palmeiras's Abelardo Medeiros. But to his dismay, Abelardo Medeiros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Jano do Vale fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SE Palmeiras's protests and gave Jano do Vale a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th match minute, SE Palmeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jano do Vale to maneuver through the defense.

After some careless play in the SE Palmeiras defense, Prudencio Romo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Will Muralhas. The SE Palmeiras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Will Muralhas should have stopped the shot. Bernardo Lawrence struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Will Muralhas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gutenberg. An unexpectedly hard shot by Desiderio Gonzales in the 64th minute of play forced SE Palmeiras's goalkeeper Will Muralhas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, SE Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Prudencio Romo came free, but Will Muralhas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cecilio Txordon in the 67th minute of play forced SE Palmeiras's goalkeeper Will Muralhas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Inocencio Gimenez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edson Chaves showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 73 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Erramu in the 78th minute of play forced SE Palmeiras's goalkeeper Will Muralhas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Prudencio Romo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th minute, Desiderio Gonzales ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Will Muralhas was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After 93 played minutes SE Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Jano do Vale. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
