Verwachting's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Abuba Akotonon FC the free kick. With a little luck, Abuba Akotonon FC's Domingos Iaki got control of the ball when Ed Bijlsma tried to sneak it across the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Miguel Merentiel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Casper Enting. Verwachting's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miguel Merentiel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Miguel Merentiel took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Casper Enting. Casper Enting dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the last second Domingos Iaki throw himself and got hold of the ball when Gerard Salens in the 29thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Miguel Merentiel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Casper Enting having to make a save. In the 41st minute, Urbano Fernanco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Domingos Iaki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerard Salens in the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gerard Salens was the one to do the kick off. Abuba Akotonon FC's Miguel Merentiel got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Domingos Iaki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domenik Kromkamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the match, Verwachting's goal looked a bit too open when Amancio Beliran came free, but Casper Enting reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Urbano Fernanco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miguel Merentiel hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Casper Enting was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Rolando Estevez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rolando Estevez really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Casper Enting showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Estevez in the 84th minute of the match. Casper Enting didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rolando Estevez went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. In the 93rdth minute of the game Miguel Merentiel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Verwachting's Casper Enting was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Abuba Akotonon FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
