Christian Liknes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Fred Driel made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Arne Hageland took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Fred Driel to make any attempt to save it. Fred Driel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olaf Juul in the 17th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Fred Driel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Fred Driel made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Martin Stavnes sent off a good shot on target. If Meindert Jongsma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Martin Stavnes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fred Driel. The goal made the score 2-0. With a little luck, S.C. Potentia's Fred Driel got control of the ball when Martin Stavnes tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Daustad's zone, Meindert Jongsma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karsten Hveding came out of the goal and Meindert Jongsma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 31 in the game by Christian Liknes from a close distance when the talented Fred Driel managed to make a qualified save. S.C. Potentia's players were relieved. 35 minutes into the match, S.C. Potentia's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Liknes came free, but Fred Driel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fred Driel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arne Hageland in the 37th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Daustad's Christian Liknes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fred Driel. Fred Driel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. 43 minutes into the game, Koen Beishuizen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.C. Potentia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Daustad the free kick. Koen Beishuizen kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After 43 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for S.C. Potentia! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arne Hageland was the one to do the kick off. Fred Driel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Liknes in the 52nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arne Hageland in the 56th minute of play forced S.C. Potentia's goalkeeper Fred Driel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Stavnes scored 5-0 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fred Driel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ole-Gunnar Schou kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Joachim Oen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karsten Hveding showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Meindert Jongsma in the 62nd minute of the match. Fred Driel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Stavnes in the 66th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, S.C. Potentia's Koen Beishuizen got a free kick in the 69th minute. Fred Driel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olaf Juul, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. If Martin Stavnes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Martin Stavnes during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, S.C. Potentia's Koen Beishuizen got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 92nd minute of the match Olaf Juul sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fred Driel skillfully saved the ball.
